Cap'n Mosh's Place

                           Welcome to Cap'n Mosh's Place

Hi...thanks for visiting my site. I'm Don Mosher. I am a retired fire captain. I have an AA Degree in Fire Science from Santa Ana College, and worked in the fire service for twenty-six years. I am a graduate of the Writing the Novel classes taught by Lary Crews, and Writing the Romance Novel taught by Brenda Hiatt Barber. My wife Barbara and I have been married for forty years and have been blessed with two great kids: Carrie who lives in the Bay Area and Greg who lives in South Orange County. We have lived in Mission Viejo, California for thirty-eight years.

I started writing at age forty, and have been scribbling away ever since.  I have published two novels "A Burning Obsession"  and "The Muffin Mountain Motel Man." I have also published a memoir of the first seventeen years of my life, "Farewell to Innocence: how two timid kids survived their birth, their circumstances, and their parents." I recently finished "The Old Nitty Gritty of Life: how to get the most out of every day you live--no matter what", and "Short Stuff: a conglomeration of short stories, essays and poems." I'm hoping to publish them soon.

I am currently working on: " Papa's Promise."

Eventually to be followed by: "Please--don't make me say it."
